The LCD screen has been broken and must be replaced. It will be expensive.

It just happened to my this afternoon. My iphone dropped out of my pants pocket to the ground. The front lcd of the iphone hit the ground and it when blank/black. My iphone happened just like what you've described. I got my fixed. I opened it up and found the connector of the lcd was loose. I securely reconnected it and voila!!!! It works again like a charm! Goodluck to you all who has the same problem.

You have been dropping your phone so hard that the body cracked. With your second dropping, the circuits may have got disconnected. Take it to your service centre to get it going.

You will need to take this phone to Apple. Hopefully you have a warranty. I had the same problem once on my Iphone...It cost me 199 to replace my phone.. i had no insurance. You screen is damaged.Sorry.

There might be a Flex cable that disconnected in the phone, you will need to bring it to a cell phone shop or apple to have a look at it.

buy a new phone and try real hard nt to drop it the a920 tends to pack up when dropped as it happened to my last a920 and even telecom went to repair it but it was going to cost more than the price of a replacement a920

Well I would take it to the apple store and see what they say. Good chance are you will probably have to get a new one.
