"Size of what? chainwheel, crank length, Bottom bracket spindle length? Not possible to say in any case, as manufacturer specs can change, even in a model year. Take to a bike co-op or bike shop for advice or search online for "replace crankset".

SOURCE: front suspension to soft on mongoose xr-75

The front forks aren't adjustable, as you probably figured out. You can, however, get harder springs if the springs can be accessed at the top of the fork tube. If not, do what I did on my mountain bike. I bought a better pair of adjustable forks that I found on eBay. It will take a bit of investigation on your part regarding the dimensions of the forks, so you get the correct length and width where the forks fit onto the frame (and the overall desired fork length), but you'll be a lot happier with adjustables.

SOURCE: loose handlebars on a Mongoose XR-75 mountain bike

Check the splines on the handle bar. Just loosen the "clamp" and slide the bar over to one side enough so you can tell if the are stripped or not. If they are then replace the bar, if not then reassemble and try to put a littlle extra torque on the bolt.

I have noticed with the 2 of these bikes that I have that the bars do not like to stay tight for long, they tend to work thier way loose about every other time we use them. I just keep tightening them untill the splines strip, then pick up a new bar.

Contact Mongoose for parts info at: www.Mongoose.com under "about" click ask mongoose.

Good luck.

SOURCE: mongoose tactic mountain bike / loose crank on

The crank has to be removed to tighten the nut that holds the gear on. I assume that is your problem is with the chain gear on the sproket that is loose

What is the crank bearing size??

Almost all Mongoose models use the standard BSA 68.
I would write a question to them at:
http://mongoosebikes.net/mongoose-bmx-bike/20-mongoose-mode-270-v2-freestyle-bmx-bike/
This bearing should not fail during the normal life of the bicycle, unless the rider weight is over 80 Kg.

Tighten front suspention on a Mongoose 26

Look for knobs on the tops of the suspension fork legs that will probably have a + and - sign on them. Turn them in the direction of the + (usually to the right) until you are satisfied.

If you have already tried this or it doesn't give you adequate results; you may be stuck. You can occasionally find stiffer springs to put inside; but this is sometimes more costly than is desirable and a little more mechanically difficult to do on your own if you're not comfortable with disassembling and reassembling the fork.

Just a guide though: ideal suspension firmness allows for some movement when you get on the bike and will use all of it's travel on the biggest bump you encounter.

I have a mongoose d series mt bike i stripped the crank on the sprocket side....where can i find one

Any Bike Shop or just assess the make/model size (probably printed or embossed on the crankarm and search the web for a set. No one sells just one crank.

You'll probably need special tools to remove it.

I am trying to find out what size the Mongoose sx43 is. It is from 2000 and is bright yellow.

It could be one of several sizes. To determine the size you can measure the bike from the center of the bottom bracket (where the cranks install into the frame) up the seat tube to the top of the frame. This will give you the size of your bicycle.

I HAVE A MGX MOUNTAIN BIKE. WERE THE PEDAL ARE

im certain that model has a 3 piece crank set up. the inner crank bearing jam nut has loosened up or the bearings themselves have gone bad.first check to see if its tight, if it is then it will require a replacement set of bearing that are a pretty standard size to all bikes and can be purchased at nearly every bike shop.
