I have a model 417 front load washing machine.

I have a Kenmore model 417 front load washing machine. Recently, my wife washed our dog's bedding and the stuffing separated from the bedding shell... and as a result, the machine refused to go into the spin cycle. I removed the bottom panel and removed the pump and cleared the debris from the impeller, but feeling inside the hole that drains from the drum, I can feel the "cotton" stuffing sticking to the exit holes of the drum. I hope I stated the problem clearly. How do you suggest I remove the remainder of the debris from the outside of the drum?

Kenmore front loading spin noise small vibration

It is probably the bearings on the rear of the wash tub. There have been multiple issues with the bearings. Try rplacing the bearings and the drive belt. I also have a 417 that I've had for almost 10 years.. I've not have a problem yet but it is slightly louder on spinning than it was when it was new. I did some research and found out about the bearings.

Front load washing machine wont finish cycle and clothes stay wet

try changing the door switch. Its either that or the speed controller. the door switch is cheaper and that is usually it.
