Hi Both - I had this problem this week. Fridge is under warranty.
Engineer visited today and said it's the wiring loom to the door display.
On inspection part of it was worn meaning power being disconnected during opening & reconnecting on closing. The reconnecting of the power lights up the display but it looks like an error.
He's ordered a new wiring loom as he suggested fixing it doesn't work well.
Until the loom is replaced he's unplugged the door connector to stop the beeping, stop the display being turned off/on 50 times a day and reduce electrical risk.
Hope this helps - A

it is probably the door switch. I just pulled the switch from a rb2055 and disassembled the switch. one of the contacts is broken.
If you unplug the fridge and plug it back in, the light should work. push in on the switch button with the door open. If the light does not go out, switch is bad.
pry the switch gently out with screwdriver, unplug it and get a replacement.
If you are watching this I can also probably tell you how to jerry-rig it to run while waiting for replacement swicth.

SOURCE: Fridge/freezer beeping
There is a lever switch usually above the door (when door is in open position) on the fridge cabinet. Not on the actual door. The beeping should stop if this lever is pressed. If the door is positioned correctly it would depress this lever when closed. It may be that the door adjustment is slightly out. If the beeping does not stop when depressed, then your printed circuit board (located usually above the door) is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed
and PLEASE give a Thumbs Up for the effort. The Raz Shack
