Use your remote. Press menu and look up initial set up or reset to factory settings.
* Note that as of Jan 2018 most cable companies do not provide analog outputs to TV sets. If your still using Channel 3 for an input to your TV then it won't work or will stop working some time this year.
* Hook up your TV using the old RCA video/audio jacks; Yellow plug is video, Red is audio right, White is audio left.
* You can also use an HDMI cable (best) for High Def picture which is all the rage for HD TV.
* You may also connect using the DVD style cable hook up which uses 4-5 separate cables (3 for colors and 2 for audio)
* Once you have some sort of video or message on the TV screen then you can proceed to setting up the cable box. Have the cable box hooked up and on for at least 15 mins. Look at the cable box display till the correct time is displayed. Power up the cable box till you see the power on indicator. Now use your TV remote to select the correct input you hooked your cables t. (probably HDMI) The display should show you your cable service. Now use the cable remote to select your channel.
* If you don't have a cable box but still have digital service (usually called basic cable - no premium) then use the analog/digital input on the TV remote and select initial set up. There should be an automatic channel search and set up to scan all the channels available on the line your connected to. This will take up to 15mins. If you know the specific channel you can cancel the scan and pick each channel for you own list. Letting the scan run may help you find other channels you are unaware of.
* Final; if your still having problems then call you TV MFR support line and they will talk you through to check your set.
* You can also check the cable company support line if the TV check out okay. The cable company may or may not be able to supply you service for really old Tube style TV sets as most if not all TV's are digital now.

On your computer if windows go to dos prompt and type in ipconfig. Note the default gate way ip address and put this into internet browser to log into the router.
it could be 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1 if you can get past the login stage go into Wi FI settings and change the channel it is most likely on auto put it on at least 2 channel numbers higher like 9 if auto starts at 7.
A make and model number may help us find the default user name, password and what the ip address of router may be ?

Im losong signal every 2 minutes

All you need to do it to change your WiFi broadcasting channel. Open up your router`s setup by entering the default gateway IP, enter username password if prompted ->go to WiFi or Wireless Lan setting and make sure that broadcasting is b/g/n mixed mode, then check what broadcasting channel is selected starting from 1 to 11/13, in case of extreme start or end make in middle like 6 or 7 and in case of any middle number like 6 to 8 make it either 10 or 3. By changing the broadcasting channel shall hopefully stop any interference with other frequencies. Good Luck

Need hep programming a new uniden bcd396xt scanner

Unfortunately, you didn't specify if you needed assistance with programming digital or conventional radio systems.. but here is the info for conventional systems. Since a conventional system is really a collection of frequencies, the first thing you need to know is the frequency for each channel you want to program.

  1. Go to the Program System menu and choose New System .
  2. The scanner will prompt you for the System Type. Select Conventional .
  3. When the scanner prompts you confirm, tap YES .
  4. The scanner creates the system with a default name. Select Edit Name if you want to change it.
  5. If you need to change any of the system properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Create at least 1 channel group Each conventional system can contain up to 20 channel groups, and all systems must contain at least 1 channel group.

  1. On the Program System menu, select the system you just created.
  2. Go to the Edit Group menu and select New Group .
  3. If you need to change any of the channel group properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Create at least 1 channel in each group Each conventional system can contain up to 1000 channels in each group, and all groups must contain at least 1 channel.

  1. On the Edit Group menu, select the channel group you just created.
  2. Go to the Edit Channel menu and select New Channel .
  3. Input the frequency for this channel in MHz.
  4. If you need to change any of the channel properties, you can do that now. Unless a property is Required , you can operate the system without changing the default settings.

Wii will not connect to internet

Try to change the router channel number. Nintendo suggests to put it on ch 7 or 11. You can do this from a computer that is connected to the internet through the same router. Open up a browser an in the address bar type in your default gateway to login into your router and change the options. Each router is different and might have different default gateways. For example Netgear routers usually have the default gateway 198.168.1.1 but others will be different. You can find your default gateway by:

WinXp
1.Click start
2.Click run
3.type cmd - enter
4.type ipconfig - and it will display your info.

Win7
1.Click start
2. type cmd in the search bar and when you see cmd.exe click it once (usually the top find)
3.then type ipconfig - and it will display you info

After you find your default gateway number type it into your browsers address bar, no www or http needed. Just type it as it is.

Each router's configuration page is different so I would suggest that you consult your manual on how to change the wifi channel, or broadcast channel, or even radio channel. All of those sould be terms that are used. Hope this helped.

Westell Versalink 327w -- can't change channel

I followed advice that I read on online about how I needed to get into the router settings, but they failed to explain that the default log in and password were "admin" and "password." I finally found it on another troubleshooting site. I got in, but it would not except any changes. I finally gave up.

A couple of ways later, I tried again and when I accessed the router settings it prompted me to change the default log in and password. After that, I was able to make any changes I wanted. Viola' !!!

Akai lct2785ta Sound Problem

Bear with me...I will start talking about CC, but I think my solution may work for you, too. I noticed that every time I turned on Closed Captioning, when I changed channel, it went off.

I went into the on-screen set-up, and turned on the CC there. Now, when I turn OFF CC, then change channels, it comes back on.

So, it may just have to do with your set up. Go there and set the default sound to stereo and see if that fixes it.

Good luck.
