SOURCE: documents in single space print in double space

There may be a dip switch somewhere on the printer which enables/disables the extra linefeed. If both CR (carriage return) & LF (linefeed) are both enabled, you will get the double-spacing. In years past, I've run a few different Epson dot matrix printers, and seems like they had such a dip switch. Also, on the software end, you may be able to disable either CR or LF- check in your printer driver software.

Hi,

You can change this by adjusting the line spacing option.

You are talking while typing wright.

You can select the whole document by Ctrl+A.

Right click & select the paragraph option.

You can find spacing & line spacing.

In the line spacing select the numbers as you like.

Its better to use it as 1.5.

And click on ok.

Good Luck.

Good day I am seeking for an assistance I need to change the status of an Epson lx350 printer on standard mode to be on HSD/Draft/Roman or Sans mode

The printer settings for the document are set in the document, not the printer. When the document is formatted the print style (font) is set and in the printer properties you should set for draft or standard mode

When I hit "Enter" it always double spaces. What do I need to do to get single space?

Your word default is set to double space. You need to find your paragraph setting, depending on the version of Microsoft Office you are using. Once you find the paragraph settings, you need to set it to single spacing and set the "spacing before" and "spacing after" to zero as in the attached picture.

One way to set the option is to hit control-A to highlight the whole document and then right click, and then click on Paragraph.

Should I buy a Hann drafting table?

These drafting tables are really fancy. The tables are made from hardwood and the surface from fiberesin. They come with lots of features. You can buy a table with drawers, a keyboard tray, wire organization, and more. There is plenty of space for a computer and multiple documents.

How do I change line spacing from double to single spacing? Whenever I commence to write a letter the second line is at double spacing as are all succeeding lines. How do I get it to single spaced lines?

Open a NEW, CLEAN document. Alter all the paragraph setting until you get them exactly as you want them.

Now the tricky part.

Save the document as a TEMPLATE and save to a folder you are familiar with. Give it a good name and below that on the dialog box, choose TEMPLATE (file type dotx)

Next time you need to type a letter with single spacing, open that template. When you go to save it, Word will prompt you for a file name as a docx, thus preserving your template for another day.

Can not find a way to print in draft mode so toner

Laser printer can sometimes be set via the front panel on the printer for draft mode. Also, you might be able to set Draft Mode from the printer properties menu in the print driver.

The actual easiest way is change your font to something like Courier, 10P, which is a fixed spaced font.

When the document is finished, then you can do a "Ctrl A" and change the font to a more fancy font.
