If I rotate the screen so its on the outside when flat against the camcorder side, it works OK so I'm living with that for now, but you can't use the corder in the normal way for recording viewing the screen. All other functions are OK.
What OS< it it windows, is it XP or VIsta.?

a web cam is like $6 on ebay, buy one but make sure it supports
your unstated OS, be wise, to tell that. would be.
11 year old handy cam (have one,it's poor for its purpose)

if your note book is new then **** in the cd driver that come with it then find the driver for your webcamp and install it if it has been install befor then remove it from control panel and when finish removing it install it back. it should be ok then.

open your my computer, click on "c" the system will tell you the information is hidden, click on the link and open up the operating system and look in the drivers or there in C and se if you can find you web cam driver, when you find it you might have to force the opening of the driver to install, and once you do that plug your web cam in and see if the system see's it and installs the drivers for the cam, if you installed the driver origanally witht he web cam installed you will have to remove the web cam and unistall the driver and re install it and then plug the web cam back in, and that should help correct the problem.

you can have the webcam workin for only ne application at a point in time also check to see that you have activated the webcam access on the other applications and this time try with the windows firewall and other firewalls deactivated

I have the same problem, screen went red then about a month later went black.
