I am not sure if you want a part# or the location of the part. The part # is 2196155 for this model and it is located behind the evap cover in the freezer section clipped to the top of the evap. I should mention that this model has an electronic control that can be put into diagnostics to check each component. This control fails as well! If the freezer is cold then you can test the thermostat (also called bi-metal) to see if it is good or bad. If it is black like in the picture then you need to ohm it but if it is metal with a blue top then look for lifting of the blue part as water gets in there and ruins the part.

SOURCE: How Old is Kitchen Aid Washer model#KAWE577BWH1

Your washer was manufactured in 1995 and is made by Whirlpool. If your washer fills and doesn't do anything, or stops right after the wash cycle and then does not advance to the rinse cycle or drain, the problem is commonly caused by a lid switch malfunction. The lid switch is usually mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug. If you determine the switch to be defective, the following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385198-replacing_lid_switch

If the switch requires replacement, a new one can be purchased on line at searspartsdirect.com, pcappliancerepair.com, repairclinic.com, appliancepartspros.com. Just use your model number as your search criteria. All these sites offer competitive pricing, so shop all them for the best price. If you have questions, or my advice does not match your symptoms, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Problem with Kitchen Aid side by Side

Hi, With the information you supplied i'm going to assume there is an ice build up at the rear of the freezer. Your problem is going to be with your defrost system. I will also assume you have the ability to repair this yourself. This is going to be one of three problems with your refridgerator, 1st thing to do is remove shelfs and panel in the back of the freezer...you should see ice build up on the evaporator...don't worry get a hair dryer and melt the ice. Next locate the wires for the heater...using a multi meter test the heater for condinuity...if the heater is bad replace it, If the heater is good replace the defrost thermostat..the stat normally is a barrel looking part clipped onto the evaporator pipe. The last possible problem could be the evaporator fan, have you heard the fan running in the past few hours?..if you are not sure pull the panel out to where you can see fan and watch it over an hour to see if it turns. I have included links with pictures of what the parts you need to check are: http://romulusappliance.com/manufacturers/maytag/refrigerators/575432.JPG defrost stat http://www.hotekalliance.com/UploadFiles/2008627111553382.jpg heaters http://www.applianceblog.com/archives/EvapMotor1018185.jpg evap fan. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment again. If you decide to get a repair guy in should not cost you any more then $120 - $200 depending on make/model/problem Good luck!

You will need to remove the oven from the wall and remove the outer cover.

If for some reason you don't have yours, you can download your owner's manual and installation instructions free from this page.

You can also find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

These models use halogen lamps. You must not touch halogen types with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

You should be able to get one from a home center or local appliance parts store.

If you order it online (from the link above) it is part # 4375348.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

SOURCE: Refrigerator

My Haier wasn't defrosting right, ice would build up & the freezer would be fine but the fridge temp not right. After reading lots of posts, defrosting a few times, etc., I took advice & ordered a new defrost timer. (Repair Clinic) They had diagrams that showed where things are. This is everything I did. Unplugged it, cleaned off everything in back, double checked fans were all working, drain pan draining, in freezer took off panels to make sure ALL ice buildup was melted including drain hole. Made sure everything was connected (there is sensor w/clip that could be near or on the condensor coils & it wasn't on - so I made sure it was on) - dried things, put back together. Changed the defrost timer. Plugged back in. Two weeks have gone by and things are just fine! You definitely need to completely defrost the fridge because even if the defrost timer is the problem all the ice built up won't allow the fridge to defrost in the defrost cycle. You'll want a fresh start & it's worth it! I thought we were going to have to buy a new fridge! And my husband is proud that I did the trouble-shooting & repair all by myself! Thanks to all the help I found online!

I have a kitchen aid two sided refrigerator model #KSRB27FHSS04.The freezer part always iecing up, change the thermostat about 3 weeks ago. The fridge part still is not cooling like it should.

Yes I see the panel is covered in frost indicating a failed defrost heater and defrost thermostat. If you changed the timer then you have two more components that need to be replaced=> The 2188175 Defrost Heater Assembly and the=> 2196155 or W10225581 Defrost Thermostat Here is a KSRB27FHSS04 pats manual for your model and the parts are located behind the panel in your photo. Parts are listed on page 17 of the parts manual. You will need to defrost freezer before you will be able to see or replace these parts. Unplug and remove that rear panel and use a hair dryer to melt the ice blocking airflow on the evaporator. Please send another photo of the ice once you get rear cover off in back of the freezer

Refrigerator kitchen aid

Might be a defrost problem. or maybe a damper or bad fan motor. Look in the freezer for signs of frost on the back wall. If you see it then that means the frig is not defrosting. Unplug the unit for a few days and if it goes back to normal operation that will confirm a defrost problem.

Kitchen Aid model KSRJ25CNST00 refrigerator/freezer won't defrost automatically

HI. your unit is equipped with a defrost thermostat that is wired directly to the control board/PCb, and linked to the defrost element as well. this thermostat has failed, in return, not allowing the proper transfer of correct temp readings that the control uses to calculate the proper defrost cycle.

Replacing the defrost thermostat(Bi Metal) will fix this issue.

Kitchen aid refrigerator freezing in refrigerator

Could you look inside the door near bottom outside frame of fresh food side and get the model numbers for me to assist you better. Also if you have a way to check the temperature as you change settings on the thermostat for the fresh food section. We need to see how the thermostat responds to changes in settings. If no changes then we need to focus on the thermostat. Also there is duct that comes from freezer that can have a damper opened or close to different settings. Let me know the model and I will pull up the drawings for your model. Thanks Sea Breeze
