I cannot change my defaults to my preferences . I have tried everything I could find. Control panel defaults don't change .It keeps staying at microsoft edge . Not my preferred anything .....

Use the Speech Engine Configurations tab of the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in for Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) 2004 to change the default voice used by applications for text-to-speech (TTS) processing, or to specify an application-specific TTS voice.
This is the voice that callers hear when an application must synthesize speech output rather than use prerecorded prompts. For more information, see the section on the prompt engine in the topic Producing Speech Output.
To modify the default voice

This is caused by sending a video signal to the screen at a refresh rate higher than 60hz. A LCD Doesn't refresh the image by scanning from top to bottom like a traditional CRT or picture tube. They are hard set to 60hz and can not understand anything else. Setting it to anything else will cause it to not display a video signal, picture tearing (little blocks with horizontal movement), Offset video or convergents issues (colors appear offset giving it the 3d movie look with out glasses on)

To fix it you need to go into your operating systems display settings and pick out a LCD monitor with a refresh rate of 60hz

Easy answer:- Yes you will lose MS Office. All the restore CD will have on it is the operating system and the drivers for the tower.

The question is WHY do you feel the need to restore the system?
