Spare parts can be difficult to find however original and compatible remote controls are still widely available, most of the remote controls used by Stanley were manufactured by the Linear corporation.

drive away from your house and find a place to park. Take your garage door opener and hold it up by the openers on you van . Press the button that you want to operate you garage door and the original opener at the same time it should flash 2 or three times . Now you should be able to use the one that came with the car. (note: it will depend on the age of you garage door opener)

This web address came from the Chamberlain site. I also needed to relearn my remotes due to a newer car that has a built in garage door opener that needed to be set. I also needed to reset my keypad remote, those instructions I was able to get from the same site. Good Luck
