"Invalid touch calibration" on LG Vu CU920

I'm having major problems with my touch screen recognizing the far left side, so I tried re-calibrating it. I've tried a few times, and each time, after I finish touching all the "+" signs, it gives me the message "Invalid calibration. Please touch the '+' mark again." I've turned it off, then back on, and tried it. I've also taken the battery out and then tried again. Any ideas?

No, I'm just trying to calibrate it again because the left side of my screen isn't responding. It's working fine except for that problem. I get to the end of the re-calibrating process and then it gives me that message.

SOURCE: unlock code for lg vu cu920

Nope.

Try first calling the manufacturer to get the subsidy code.

If you do not want to call the manufacturer , then try the method on link below, but it does not work on all cu920:

SOURCE: LG CU920 VU Touch Screen Not Responding

I had the same issue and was pissed, not to mention i didn't have a warranty and it was only a couple months old. I actually bought another phone and because I had nothing to lose, took my phone apart and replaced the touchscreen myself for about $30. If you have ever changed out a PC part, you could replace this screen. It's not really that difficult and there are guides out there. The screen itself is just a thin piece of plastic that lays over the lcd screen and is kinda "glued" into the frame of the phone. If you look at ur phone and follow the frame around, that's the piece ur replacing - but you have to disconnect all the wires from the inside. Now mines works like a charm -- and I'm stuck with two phones :~( PS: STOP USING THE STYLUS!

SOURCE: My LG VU CU920 touch screen will not respond i

Are you able to get to the screen calibration (<Settings><System><Screen>16x16_smiley-wink.gif? If so, try to recalibrate. If not, are you still under warranty? Contact ATT, and see if they will replace the unit.

My LG Vu won't let me scroll down on my messages and when i try to go back it won't let me. It turns off and comes back on again by itself. What should I do?PLEASE HELP!!!

-jaycievoisin if you are still able to navigate your phone, i suggest trying to re-calibrate the screen by going to the settings tab, tap "more", and tap "touch calibration". from there you can sucessfully calibrate the screen, which will probably increase your accuracy of scrolling. Cheers.

My touch screen will not work i can recieve calls but can't dial out or explore the phone in any kind of way nothing but the on/off button works what can i do?

My dear friend, what you have to do is to calibrate the screen. Be sure that the phone is not locked from the side of the phone before trying to calibrate the screen.
To calibrate the screen, please follow the steps below:
  1. Power off the phone,
  2. Press and hold the top left corner of the screen,
  3. Keep holding it as You also hold the dial/green button and the middle/menu button,
  4. Keep holding them at the same time as You ask someone to help you press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds,
  5. A page will come up with some touch dots on the screen,
  6. touch every dots and follow the rest of the instructions from there on, that way, the screen will be calibrated and will work once again.
If that does not do the job, then it means the sensor board is bad and need to be replaced. Hope this information helped you. Thank you for using fixya

How do you install a replacement lcd screen for an LG Vu, cu 920?

u may not need a new screen. have u tried to do a recalibration? also if u do a hard reset it will bring u to the screen to calibrate ur screen.( note a hard reset will erase all pictures that r not save to sim)
once u have the calibration screen it will tell u to touch in several places and will say that ur off. keep going though it will bring u to a nother screen that u can save or cancel. save settings then go to ur settings and do the calibration again to ur liking
