WOW ~ quite impressive! "Hard Water" contains lots of additional elements and chemicals. These tend to corrode and calcify parts.
I suspect a sensor has become contaminated/encrusted and now fails to reset BUT YOU DID NOT include a model number so I can'l help you any further.

I have a red light (water tank) flashing and a yellow light which flashes 9 times. Help anyone, can't get the iron to work. Struggling to find a Miele Fashionmaster engineer in the Manchester (UK) area too.

SOURCE: Water shooting out bottom holes
This normally means that the iron is not heating up enough check that you have adjusted the temp so it is not as the water will either come out of the bottom when not hot enough to steam or when the jets get dirty and need cleaning.
Thanks J

This sounds like the overflow trip switch has been activated. Some time back I had this problem with a Miele G664. The service man undid 4 screws on the door and removed front panel and found water in the drip tray, He then checked the pipes, outlet pipe had a pice of plastic bread tag stuck in it , this was slowing down the time it took to empty the water and the next fill made it overflow and switch off the dishwasher. He cleaned out the chanel on the overflow that was full of dust and fluff checked the levels to make sure the dishwasher was sitting true. Closed it all up and ran the dishwasher. Perfect!
Bill $160. It did take him the best part of an hour and I live a long way out of town.
SOURCE: indesit condenser tumble dryer water
Maybe trapped water in the dryer. Switch off and remove power from wall. Remove condenser unit from the dryer (clean the condenser while you have the chance with plenty of water and an old toothbrush - it will probably be filthy). With the condenser unit removed stick an old tea towel in the hole where the condenser was and then tip the dryer on its side. If there is water it will either run onto the tea towel or onto your kitchen floor OR into the water container!
It worked for me, honest...

OMG, how frustrating to be ironing and water shoot out everywhere from this iron....So, to remedy it, I have turned off the steam, use it as a dry iron, and have a spray bottle handy to spray as I iron...love the feel of this iron, but hate the water everywhere...
