SOURCE: Air Handler leaking

First make sure unit is level. Drain pan may be dirty. On the rheem or Ruud unit the back of the pan gets stopped up. Ithas small holes that let the water by and they get stopped up. Now even though your drain is clean you may have a stopped up dain pan. Check this > These are problems you can take care of your self. Open up the top panel of your unit and you can look down on the drain pan. Check for dirt and stoppage near the outlet of the drain pan. You amy also have a cracked drain pan but I doubt it. Rus

Use a tape measure. Uncertain on size though you have to be careful when buying filters, a standard 20x20 can come in three different sizes. always be sure read the ACTUAL FILTER SIZE.

My system uses a permenant air filter. It's missing. It's a Ruud Model UBHC-21J18SHG. What size filter should I put in this system?

The Ruud UBHC-21J18SHG has a nominally 21" cabinet width. So the needed filter is 19.75" x 21" x 0.375" (502 mm x 533 mm x 9.525 mm). The Ruud part number for the filter is 54-23217-03 .

The specifications sheet for the Ruud UBHC series air handlers is available here: http://www.coburns.com/images/PDFs/h22-517rev1.pdf . The filter size information is on page 3 and page 12.

I've found the filter at one online vendor: http://www.patriot-supply.com/products/showitem.cfm/RHEEM_68_101807_03 . (This is a common filter that fits several manufacturer's air handlers.)

I hope this helps.

Ouside unit not coming on

You are not getting the 24 volt control circuit to coil need to make sure your 2 wire is in good shape and connected to the coil connections. If you have a ohm meter you can ohm out the coil and see if it is good. Be carefull cause the is 240 volts at the same spot on the contactor. So just pull the fuses out of the disconnect box and will be okay. Or turn off the breaker inside the house to the unit. If coil is bad just replace the contactor.

No furnace filter

Using a electronic air cleaner you don't need a filter they have little pre filters in front of them but those electronic air cleaner are so good at removing dust and hair. I am thinking of getting one. to take the air cleaners take them out every so often and wash them with just your garden hose let them dry and re-install. If you want to replace the air cleaner go get a filter called Air Bear they are made to be a direct replacement for Electronic Air Cleaner units. ken oh by the way air bear's are about 5 inches thick and come in vary sizes.

Check your filters inside the furnace, replace if needed. Then check to ensure that the fan is running inside the furnace. If these two things dont fix the problems, I would imagine you have low refrigerant issues. In that case you should call a service company.

Hope this helps ya please rate me.
