The Clarity E814CC doesn't have a Handset LOC button; it uses the Paging feature to contact the handset. To locate all of the handsets, press the Page/Flash button on the base with the phone system in idle (no calls in progress). The Page/Flash button is to the left of the Answering System On/Off button on the right side of the base. The button is almost aligned with the 1, 2, 3 number keys.

After you press the Page/Flash button, all of the handsets will sound the Paging tone and their screens will read "Paging". Press Talk/Speaker Phone on a handset or Page/Flash on the base, to cancel the Paging.

The Find the Handset information is in the manual on page 18. The location of the Page/Flash button is shown on page 8. The manual is available from Clarity Products here: http://shop.clarityproducts.com/products/clarity/e814cc/?cat=clarity . Click on the Owner Support tab. The direct link to the manual is http://shop.clarityproducts.com/media/ext/products/assets/E814CC_UserGuideEnglish_RevA.pdf .

I hope this helps.

How to register hs

It would help to have the model number of the base ( found on a sticker on the bottom of the base ) and the handset (under the battery) but the following works for many models: Press and hold the "Find Handset" button until the "in use" lamp comes on. Press the
"#" key on the handset, then place it on the base... if it is going to work, in a minute or less it will chirp and announce "handset registered". If it shows "registration failed", the base may be "fully populated" and cannot accept another handset: many models are limited to only 5 handsets. To start over by clearing the base registry, press the "Find Handset" button until the "in use" lamp
lights, then continue to hold "Find Handset" until "in use" begins to
blink. Release, then press again the "Find Handset" button for a moment. The base should chirp, and be ready to register handsets again... try again as above until the maximum is reached. Good luck!

WHERE IS 'HS LOC' LOCATED?

If you are looking for the handset locator for the CL84100, that button is only on the base unit. It's the button to the far right in the row below the LCD screen and the In Use light. (It's directly below the In Use light.) Above the button is a handset icon and the word locator, instead of indicating HS Loc. The picture of the base is on page 3 of the manual. The manual is available from AT&T's telephone support page: http://telephones.att.com/product-support/manuals . The direct link is http://cdn-media-att.vtp-media.com/ecp/documents//product_Product/383//7395/CL84100_UM_8.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Handset msg says.."Press HS LOC

Since you declined to specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 phone, I can only direct you to select it from the list beginning here. The manual should have illustrations giving the locations of all buttons.

I cannot get my Vtech LS6204 to register. I have tried everything and the screen always reads registration failed.

I have a 2-handset VTech CS6419 that I had been using w/o problems for months. Both HS were always plugged in and charged. One day I found the base HS would not ring and the screen had the message that I needed to register the HS. Pressing the "find HS" button to start the process only made the accessory HS, not the malfunctioning base one, ring. I solved the problem by 1) unplugging the base, 2) pulling the batteries from BOTH handsets, then 3) replugging in the base and reattaching the battery for ONLY the malfunctioning HS. 4) I then did the registration process again (press the "Find HS" button on the base for 4 seconds, then press the # button on the HS and wait.) The malfunctioning HS then registered! I then reattached the battery to the accessory HS and returned it to its' base. Problem solved!

Panasonic kx-tg1100

STEP1:
On the handset you want to discard go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "CANCEL BS"
This will discard the registration of the handset to any base.

STEP2:
Using the handset you want to register go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "REGISTER HS"and select the base you want (i.e. BASE 1, BASE 2, ..., BASE n).

NOTE:If you do not get access to the BASE you are looking for (STEP 2) then you have to cancel the registration of the new handset to any base. Therefore, follow STEP1 for this handset as well and then follow STEP 2.

After you finish all the above, hold down the "PAGE" button for about 5 secs.

You are now done!!!

Good luck

Handset not registering with base

I've repaired thousands of these kx-tga400b phones and we have the only improved keypad that eliminates the common keypad problems for good.

Does the cordless phone have a 3 in the top right corner after it registers to 3? If so, then it is registering correctly. If it THEN consistently says "invalid, please register" there is definitely a problem with the main circuit board and it's not at all common. I've seen a few of these but it's a rare problem. We can fix it but I'm not sure how much luck you would have with any other repair facilities.

If you have the problem intermittently it's probably a bad RF module. That's a much more common issue.

Registering phones

I have after many hours found the solution. (Well one that worked for me). I have a Uniden Elite 8855 + 8805 additional handsets. What you have to do is:
1. Go to your base unit.
2. Put your flip phone in the cradle.
3. Press down and hold down (AT ALL TIMES) the end (find hs) button.
4. Whilst holding down this button, take the power plug out of the wall.
5. Whilst still holding down the end (find hs) button, plug the power back in.
6. When you hear a beep from the base unit system.
7. Let go of the end (find hs) button.
8. Your phone memory should be cleared now and you are ready to repeat the process of registering your base and additional handsets.
