I had a dog with Cushing's disease and the symptoms were that she was ALWAYS hungry and drank TONS of water. I treated her by going to the vet and getting medication that killed back the tumor that was causing her to make too much cortisol which is a stress hormone. It was not real expensive. If you do NOT treat the dog, the trunk of its body will get fat and its legs will get weaker and weaker. The most straight forward answer to your question is: A dog with Cushing's disease does have a serious disease that will likely kill them, but they will not die immediately. I hope this helps!
put the cat on a diet .Look at the back of the cat food on serving size for a normal cat weight. and don't feed it scraps or any of your food you are eating at the time that it is begging to have.
