SOURCE: need manual for armitron sports watch 40/8172

Go to the Amitron web site , "amitron.com".

Select "support" and the "watch instructions" from the drop down menu.

There will be a number of illustrations

Using the arrow heads on the right, scroll down to the bottom and select the one marked "mens digital".

This file contains the instructions for two manuals, the one you want is the second one (scroll down to reach the 40/8 series).

This is the same as military time. If there is a "NEXT" button on the upper-right side of the watch, use this to advance to the 24-hour option instead of using the "SPLIT/RESET" button. You may need to press a "START/SPLIT" button instead a "SPLIT/RESET" button to cycle between 12- and 24-hour display. The "START/SPLIT" button could be located below the watch face or on the upper-right side of the watch, depending on the model.

Press the "SET" button again. You are now done. All PM hours should be displaying hours between 12 and 23.

Contact TIMEX for further assistance at:
http://www.timex.com/info/Product_Instruction_Guides_Downloads

How do I change my Armitron WR165 watch from military time to 12 hour time?

To change your Armitron WR165 watch from military time (also known as 24-hour time) to 12-hour time, you will need to follow these steps:
 1. Press and hold the "mode" button until the display shows the current time format (either 12H or 24H).
 2. Press the "set" button to toggle between the two time formats.
 3. When the desired time format is displayed, press the "mode" button to exit the setting mode and save the new time format.
If you are having trouble changing the time format on your watch, you may want to consult the user manual for your specific model, as the steps may vary slightly depending on the version of the watch you have. You can also try contacting Armitron customer support for further assistance.

Armitron All-Sport M518, 40/6755

I have the same watch- instructions are hard to find.

Do this: hold the mode button for a few seconds, until the alarm time blinks. Push mode again and the time will blink, then push st/stp to change to minutes or hours, and press adj. to change; press mode when you are all done.

Anyone know how to go from 24 hour (military) time to regular 12 hour am/pm time?
