What is the error code E8 on Voltas cassette AC unit?
An E8 error usually indicates a fan problem with the indoor or outdoor unit. An E8 error is usually cleared by power cycling both the indoor and outdoor unit by turning power off at the breaker. Be sure to check the indoor air filters are not dirty and blocking air flow from the fan.
F8: This error code shows up only when there is an issue with the outdoor ambient temperature sensor. F9: This error code shows up only when there is an issue with the outdoor DC fan. P2: This error code shows up only when there is an issue with the Compressor phase current protection.

HC means PFC fault (Power Factor Correction) It is a board mounted inside the outdoor unit. Get an Air Con tech to check and confirm. You can try a power reset but I don't think it will work. Turn off the power to the unit by the isolator or meter box switch. Leave off for 15 minutes then try again.
You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds. After you turn it back on the system should reset. Air Bulance AC Cleaning Repair Services
Most lamp invertor boards receive rectified and filtered mains dc voltage as the input power supply.
So if you have 240 V AC mains you would typically get around 339V DC. ie 240 times root 2. the peak AC voltage.
Please understand that the generator produces power from fuel with an engine wheras the invertor is one which genrerates power from a stored battery using the principle of frequency switching a DC source to induct and produce AC.
Now you can have an uninterupted power supply setting with the invertor backed up by the generator so that when the battery voltage goes down you can start and charge the invertor and also supply the extra energy .
the ratings of both must also be considered.
