Pressing the Reset button, or even unplugging it from power source doesn't help. Model: KitchenAid SuperBA KCDS075T
SOURCE: Garbage disposal won't turn on
Three points to ck. !) make sure disposer is plugged in under ther the sink. 2) Make sure the circuit breaker at the breaker panel has not tripped. 3) Make sure disposal is off and make sure it is not jammed, 3) Press reset breaker located on bottom of unit (red button.) Then try wall switch again.

There should be a reset button (circuit breaker) on the bottom of the unit. It sounds more like the blades are stuck. Pull the plug on the unit and use an allen wrench on the manual blade turner on the bottom of the unit. If the blades are stuck, you will have to try and loosen them with the allen wrench. If you do get them loose, the question then is what was holding them. Could be debris in the ISE or something broken like a blade. Keep the unit unplugged when working on it.

When the motor goes bad, it begins to slow down until it stops.
That can happen suddenly, and now each time it hums, the motor is overheating and will never come back to life.
I wrote ez replacement step from days I worked apartment maintenance.
