I have a brand new LENOVO and it hs worked perfectly ....Noe the touch pad is locked.
Can anyone help me?
There is a blue light on between the TWO buttons.
I have tried to do the FN and then F9. Nothing has worked.
So somewhere on your keyboard is the unlock FN or Function if its not there then it should be on the front of the laptop that'susual were they put the mouse lock
quick tip did you know that they allow you to lock the mouse so it doesn't get in the way while your typing hope this helps

If you're positive you didn't unplug or rip anything while installing new USB ports, trying checking/updating or rolling back the drivers for the touch pad. Installing new USB ports could have mis-configured something and disabled or modified your drivers for the touch pad.
You have been to Settings and tried to ajust the brightness there?
Restart it and then go to settings and set the brightness there,
All the best

try to check the button above the your touch pad there is a locked and unlocked button, red light is locked, blue light is unlocked. and if your touch pad button is unlocked. if still not working try to check your o.s or third party software.
Hi. I would suggest pressing the Num Lock key and see if it goes off, press and hold Function(Fn) button and hit the Num Lock key or press and hold the shift key and press the Num Lock key. Hope This Helps
I know this is a stupid question but are you holding the buttons down at the same time. If so, I would contact Lenovo and make them figure it out, since it is new.
Just above my keyboard there is a little black strip with little lights. they are control buttons and if you tap one of them it turns the touchpad off and on (so it's very easy to do accidentally).
If you look really closely at the strip in good light (or restart the laptop to see them flash on and off) you'll see that one looks like a touchpad crossed out. Just press this to get your touchpad back.
If it doesnt solve the problem, I have noticed that the touchpad can be knocked out by a Window Update of something called ideacom. If you believe this could be the problem please clarify.
