If you are experiencing a problem with your SC-EH780 audio system where there is sound in the headphones but no sound at the output, there are a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the audio output settings: Ensure that the audio output settings on your SC-EH780 system are properly configured. Some audio systems have separate settings for headphones and external speakers. Make sure the output is set to the correct option for the speakers you are using.
Verify the speaker connections: Double-check the connections between the SC-EH780 system and your external speakers. Ensure that the speaker wires are securely plugged into the appropriate terminals on both the audio system and the speakers. If you are using any additional audio equipment or amplifiers, confirm that they are connected correctly as well.
Test different audio sources: Try connecting different audio sources to the SC-EH780 system, such as a different device or media player. This will help determine if the issue lies with the audio source or the SC-EH780 system itself. If you still encounter no sound from the output with different sources, the problem may be with the audio system.
Check the volume levels: Ensure that the volume levels on the SC-EH780 system are set appropriately. It's possible that the output volume is set too low or muted, resulting in no sound reaching the speakers. Adjust the volume levels and confirm that the mute function is disabled.
Perform a factory reset: If all else fails, you can try performing a factory reset on the SC-EH780 system. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset. Keep in mind that a factory reset will restore the system to its default settings, so any customized settings or presets will be lost.
Contact customer support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it is recommended to contact Panasonic customer support or an authorized service center for further assistance. They will have the expertise to diagnose the specific problem and provide appropriate solutions or arrange for repairs if necessary.
Try unplugging the ribbon cable and make sure it's not damaged reconnect it then try powering up again I presume everything else works such as the tape deck amp and tuner but if it's just the CD player it could be something simple like an internal fuse I have taken mine apart a few times to clean out dust so try that if all else fails and check fuse !
I have one and can make a copy of the manual if you would like. You would just have to pay for postage. Please let me know if you are interested. You can email me at [email protected].
