You should only have to replace the crank string itself, I do not know of any other parts needed to do it. My cranks for my crossbows are very simple, crank handle, crank wheel with strung wrapped around it. If you are not mechanically inclined, then take it to your local hunting shop for repair. I am not sure if any preload is applied to the prod when restringing, but the Barnett is a popular crossbow and they are sold and serviced by a great many serious hunting, shooting and fishing shops and suppliers as well as a few sports outlets. You should have no trouble finding spares and information.
