Start with switching the tv of at power outlet.remove the plug for some 2-3 mins. Do the same with your modem. Switch everything on after about 2-3 mins. If still not working, go to settings and check if your tv has all the updates, if not do updates and go through process described again. If problem persists. Download a wifi app if you smart phone, and check download speeds and other criteria with some 30 mins intervals, just to see whether you have stable wi fi. good luck

Ensure your Wi-Fi router is not blocking your Wi-Fi or Mac address.

If you gave a wireless telephone handset near your tv, remove it, put off the tv for a wile and try to connect it to your wifi.

Sorry, I wanted to say: if you have.. not you gave.
I had the same problem with a smart Lg tv. I replaced the internal wifi unit but nothing changed. I could get connection for few minutes then it stops. few days latter and up to now everything is functioning well.

Make certain that your WIFI settings have not changed. Had same problem once, re-entered WIFI information and it worked.

SOURCE: my lg smart tv suround bluray sytem tells me to go to youtube.com/activate with a code????

Further along with this issue: When I enter the account activation code from my LG in the box that asks for it. I get a screen that says among other things:

"YouTube TV is requesting permission to:
View your Google Wallet and make purchases on your behalf
Make purchases using your Google Wallet
Perform these operations when I'm not using the application"

Am I understanding correctly that YouTube wants to be able to use my credit cards on file with Google Wallet and buy things "on my behalf" and do so when I'm not using the application? What sort of things does YouTube want to buy for me without my knowledge? Can someone please help clarify this statement in the activation window. The way it is written now, I cannot and will not allow access to YouTube TV.

Thanks for your help.

SOURCE: I have model 42LE5400-UC smart TV no remote control and just the power cord what do I need to connect to wifi and fully set up my LG 42LE5400-UC smart TV,can you let me know what I need

Without a remote control, you can't. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites.

Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

My Akai tv won’t connect to the internet wirelessly

wow no TV model stated, wow ! model NUMBER.
the #1 top question about computers (besides dead ) is
wifi dead, everybody uses it and it loves to fail or run slow.
wifi is a SHARED resource that you do not own. ok?
you are just user of the radio channel, shared, switch to channel 5 yet ? at the router but I digress.
The TV must be close to the router not 50feet away. ok?>
buy a AP access point wired bridge> (ask) put it near TV ?

first off use wired Ethernet, see it works and everyday forward no PAIN.

if you must use WIFI learn to test it first. ok?
learn your credentials too. first. SSID and PW.
on a PC at home try wifi now, or on any smart cell phone
turn on wifi and turn off say 3G, does wifi work now?
if yes, then wifi is OK, testing wifi done.
now back to that TV (no model stated at all, sticker on rear words)
The TV can (most smart TVs) have a reset networking feature
RTM read the manual yet, id read it to you but no TV stated.
all do really, reset it and then it goes in to wifi setup
it asks you 2 things, really, just 2,
your SSID, that is your home wifi router name used in the PC or smart phone tests above.
my TV and all PCs show like 10 homes near by there SSID
and mine, , mine is (lie) FIDO123. so on my TV I see FIDO123.
and click that, now it asks for my password passphase,
mine is written down and is COMPLEX. (security max here)
I type that and like magic the wifi works , if not is it to far from your router , is it? TV >>>>>router???? distance is what? walls? of concrete are bad. for wifi. (dense walls bad of any kind)

Wifi is problematic for sure 801 b or g and n (geT "AC" if TV allows this) The best TVs are set up for. 801.11-/ac" features.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11ac

Wifi can run slow, or 1/2 speed if one other errant device in home causes N bonding drop out, making TV show buffering delays.

http://www.pcdied.com/DevMan/internet.html#wifi

here is LG TV that does "AC"wifi spec.
  • LG 55" Class 4K (2160P) Ultra HD Smart LED HDR TV 55UK6090PUA I your router is "AC"rated the pair work very good.
TVs 2013 and newer have this now for 6 years.

I have an Element smart tv in my garage which is about 300 feet from my router in the house, my tv will not pick up any wifi signal to connect but yet my laptop, cellphone etc. pick up wifi signal just...

It may be that the aerial in the TV isn't as good as your phones receiver. Maybe try a mains internet / power line adapter so that you can use a wired solution.

How do I get my LG smart tv to connect to Wifi

change your WiFi security setings in your router from WPA/WPA2 to WEP.

Go back to the Smart TV and reconnect to your network with your selected security key.
It may be less secure but it may be the only setting your tv will recognize.

Network issues with Samsung Smart TV UN60JU6500FXZA

You mention two separate issues, WiFi and smart hub. As you know Samsung built in manual is the worst idea ever. There is no picture of the complete rear panel connection for example.
If the smart hub is the actual WiFi antenna then if your system doesn't recognize Smart Hub then you have a bad smart hub.
to test smart hub plug something into hub ( DVD HDMI, video game) If your remote has smart hub button press and see what appears. Otherwise select source on remote see if your attached item appears. (That would indicate smart hub does talk to TV)!
Since you can access your network when hard wired your network password is stored.
Once you have verified Smart Hub is functional then work on WiFi.
i will say my Samsung is 3 ft from my router and hard wired for better streaming speed.
I use Bluetooth access to share photos from IPads.
I would leave TV hard wired.

How do I go about disabling wi-fi on a samsung smart tv?

Hello. I can't think of a good reason to disable wifi on a smart TV, and there are a couple of reasons not to! Reason number one, wifi allows the TV to access the internet for things like YouTube, Netflix, etc., and without wifi, the TV can't update the software, which is vital to getting the most out of the TV. Also, without wifi, the TV is no longer smart, so why buy a smart TV in the first place? By the way, wifi isn't two-way unless you are using an app like Skype, and you aren't creating a hotspot. I hope I answered your question.
