Citric acid, present in many fruits, particularly citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit), as well as commercial beverage preparations, sour candies, etc, may irritate the joints in susceptible people.
First an amateur answer, foods low in iron, rich in magnesium, low in calcium. But this is simply a deduction from what a medical manual says about the disorder and actually is shows that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Emperical evidence trumps deductions. Therefore, asking your medical professional for dietary information regarding this would be best. My cursory look for information suggests that diet is irrelevant in relation to the disorder.
Even if I suggested that antiinflamatory foods might be helpful, I would be deluding myself and you. I would have no more idea of how much of anything you would have to eat to get an effect and the side effects of eating a lot of anything in particular would be better known by a dietician connected with the medical clinic than myself. This is why use of supplements is so questionable. You seldom know how much of the magical ingredient is in a supplement pill and whether your body can even make use of it in that form. This is a disorder you treat with reall medication rather than something off the shelf.
