Question about LG Cell Phones

My lg phone battery got real hot a few days ago and now it will not do anything. this is the 2nd time this type of phone has messed up on me and i have sent back. what should i do?

I have the same problem. But i had solved it. I use a lighter to burn on my viewty's touch screen, and it is working properly again within 30 secs. And ofcourse, do not burn the touch screen without a screen protector. Hope this solution would help.

If possible take it into your cell providers store and ask them to check it. They should be able to do a battery test and a software check for free of charge. If they are no help check the brass contacts on both your battery and phone. They might be making intermittent contact or be corroded. Also check for water damage. There should be a small sticker, if its pink its water damage. It could also be a defective battery, but don't buy one. Try to find someone that has one and borrow it to test. Good Luck

My LG Versa kept freezing up too...Call Verizon and have them tell you what software version is on your phone currently. I then took took it to the Verizon store and had it 'flashed' because there was a newer version for mine...it took about 25 minutes...worked fine...no more freezing up.

If you only have it since a couple of days, don't mess with it. Claim your warranty; get it changed, it is a vey Bad Buy. If they don't want to change it, at least get it repaired as soon as possible

Take your phone to your local mobile phone shop they will unlock your phone for about £15.

Not a real technical solution but if the original battery is still being used then there is a chance the battery is not holding the charge. I've had this issue in the past with a Motorola Droid and after the battery was replaced it held on for a few days instead of a couple of hours. Depending on phone use and charging methods older batteries will not hold a charge for long. I would recommend trying to get a battery saver app from the Google Play store to see if it helps as well. Again, this isn't a real tech solution but I hope this helps you along some. =)

Inside screen won't stay on. Only stays on if I press on left side of screen...maybe... mostly it doesn't. Dropped it twice in one day about 2 weeks ago. Only started to mess up last couple of days. Can...

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have damaged the phone. Most likely a wire has been knocked loose or a component was broken. It may be time to look for a replacement. A good seller that I've seen on eBay is Sick Frog Wireless.

I don't know if this will work for sure but when that happened to be a few days ago my keys didn't work either but i took my Battery out and dried them both off for 2 minutes on warm and cold and cool if that doesnt work i don't know what to tell you

I dont know if this will help you, but it helped me. I had the same problem, with phone not holding charge and getting really hot both during and after complete charge.
I needed my memorycard from my LG to my other phone, so I took it out, and off course the phone needed to be charged so I charged it, and... it did not get hot at all, and when it was finished, the charge lasted a day and a half!! Now the problem is I cant use the memorycard anymore in my Viewty :S Win/Loose situation i guess....
