My Maytag electric dryer series 5000 with steam is not countg down the time correctly, therefore is running way too long. Can I fix this at home?

I started a load drying at normal which gave me an automatic setting of 40 minutes. It has taken 25 minutes for the timer to count down to 36 minutes of drying time left.

The time is estimated but first I would check the vent to see if it's clear and clean

F01 is a very straight forward error and it means that your dryer has detected a short in the main relay power control board mounted to the left side wall under the top panel of the dryer.

My Maytag 5000 series steam dry won't turn on when I push the Start/Pause button. It makes the sound it usuallydoes, but the sensing estimated time light turns on.

Try unplugging it or turn off the breaker to it for 60 seconds to see if it'll reset.

The Control Lock light on my Maytag 5000 Series dryer is flashing, and the dryer makes an error beep when I try to start it.

Make sure there is nothing in the way of the door closing good. Sounds like something keeping it from closing good.

While drying the door just pops open. it is not finished. does this on the sensor setting and the timed setting and the steam/refresh setting (I have a 5000 series dryer)
