It sounds like the solenoid inside the freezer is stuck. Open the freezer door and remove the ice bucket. Looking at the bottom of the ice bucket you will see a thin metal arm sticking out the back. This thin metal arm activates whether your ice is crushes or cubed. With the ice bucket removed look at the back wall of the freezer and find the square hole where the thin metal arm goes into. Most of the time you can place your fnger inside the square hole and lift the plastic upward. If you are unable to lift it up you will need to replace the solenoid assembly.
