if creator of event allows anyone to invite more people you should see an option to invite friends and then invite your friends. You can also share the event if creator has made the event public

Yes, what you deleted was likely the shortcut to the hotmail account, but in any event, recycled items can be restored by clicking on the recycle bin and selecting the item that you want, then click restore this item...
Your Hotmail account is actually on a Microsoft server, somewhere. To delete that you have to follow more steps than a recycle bin event....
