No, OBL is a lithium based energy source, regular automotive systems rely on combustion engines. Google a little, and you'll see that "OBL" is basically a big fat lie. If indeed we discover a energy source that can power the world with just a few drops, I'm sure it'll make mainstream news instead of some corny pop up claiming it's a miracle fuel. :)

Hello , i have a Mercedes compressor c230 i want to know how to use the fuel injectors cleaner and which one is better

HI,

This depend on where you are in the world and which system your using.

theres 2 types. 1 - bottle to be added to the fuel as an additive
2 - is by a workshop, they disconnect your fuel and use a special cleaner fuel mix. which cleans everything from the fuel rail to the exhaust.

use redex or shell performance fuel (if possible) as there the only one proven to work in the real world.

if not available look for a good quality fuel cleaner over a performance additive.

From my X trail T31 -TS why cant I get the advertised fuel consumption of 7.2 combined -- mine uses 8.8 -9.2/100km combined any advice/help

while manufacturers use the advertised economy figures for sales, testing by reputable auto mobile organizations report that the figures are unrealistic and are generated in perfect conditions in shop
They seldom say real driving conditions just what was achieved in testing
If you are getting 8/100 suburban and better on highway then the economy is good
however it is to be understood that tire widths , pressures , loads , road conditions , ac operation ( not taken into consideration in factory testing) driver habits ( placing auto in neutral while at lights saves fuel)
hard acceleration ' sudden stops, driving over 60mph or 100 km all affect real consumption figures
as for advice , use a quality octane rating-no e-mix fuels - and drive like the tank has a hole in it and you have to conserve every drop

Replacing fuel pump on 2003 Suzuki Aerio 2.0L 4 Cyl. DOHC

If you are able to drop the fuel tank without disconnecting any other components (brake lines, suspension and exhaust), and remove the fuel pump, the answer is yes.

Best to drain the fuel from tank to make it lighter when dropping down enough to clear the pump.

Why is it that there is a strong smell of gasoline when the engine runs

  • First thing I would do is get a flashlight and look around the injectors real well for wet spots.
  • Look at the fuel lines under the hood for a leak.
  • Look at the fuel tank and the fill spout for the fuel tank.
  • Check the fuel lines from the pump all the way to the fuel injectors as well.

  • A good majority of the time, if you smell heavy gas when in the car, especially when driving, you have a cracked injector or a seal on an injector has failed. You want to look real good at the base of the injector because it may not be a big leak and gas evaporates fast so the leak may not be real big. You can also pull the fuel rail and inspect each injector.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.
