I own a sceptre model #NBNV93GA TV and lost the remote. When I turn on the TV it only displays "enterpassword input is blocked" do you know how to fix this without having the correct password?

If there is no nutton on the TV to do so then you have to have the remote for it. You can try a universal remote but, usually functions like that don't work. I came across this looking for a similar solution for my Samsung TV, and I found the solution on ehow.com. Apparently after you program the remote for your TV you have to hold mute and select again until it flashes twice then put in 960 to make the remote control TV input too. Note you're remote should be in TV mode while you do this. It seems silly that the DirectTV guy wouldn't do this when programming the remote.

I just purchased one of these televisions and it didn't come with a remote. However, a Philips Universal Remote (SRU2103/27)
with a code 0520 works fine. I haven't explored all the codes but I can easily change from tv stations to Video 1 and Video 2 merely by pressing the "Input" button on the remote.
