My baby lock lock up while sewing the needle want move up and down it is a grace it says error 6 can you help me thank you

Sewing Machine: Needle won't move
A disengaged clutch, broken drive belt or internal drive gear failure can prevent the needle from moving. Engage the hand wheel clutch if you have it disengaged for bobbin winding. If the needle won't move with the clutch engaged, unplug the sewing machine and check the drive belt.

How to Fix Brother Sewing Machine Error Code E6 Q: What does E6 error message mean? A: The motor locked up because thread is tangled Q: How to fix E6 error message? A: Do the following:
  • The upper thread could be tangled. Remove the upper thread and any loose threads. Raise the pressure foot, raise the needle to its highest position and rethread the machine.
  • Remove the bobbin and bobbin case to clean any lint or loose threads. Install the bobbin case so that the projection on it aligns with the spring. Then install the bobbin into the bobbin case.
  • The needle could be bent. Replace the needle making sure the flat side is facing the back.

My baby lock imagine is in locked position & release bar moves but will not unlock machine. Hand wheel also will not budge

If you are referring to the threading tubes, it likely needs to be serviced by your local technician. This repair requires taking the machine pretty far apart.

Clutch wheel is very tight and can't be turned by hand . motor runs but needle won't go up and down.,I sewed about 24 seams each 4 ft long

The center lock is sometimes very tight. You will have to hold the hand crank while you loosen the center. To force it is sometimes necessary.

Centering needle on Baby Lock Ellure

Make sure the needle is at its highest point. Use the flywheel/ hand wheel on the right side of the machine to move the needle.

Cutter blade remains locked.

when you release the blade, sometimes you have to reengage it manually, turn it to unlock, machine off (safety only) push up on bottom of upper blade until it stops. turn hand wheel and watch if blade is moving. If not repeat. When it moves your good to go.

Hand wheel loose

In the middle of the stop motion screw wheel there is a screw, undo the screw and unscrew the stop motion wheel all the way off, you will now see a three pronged washer, take it off and put it in a different position, put the stop motion wheel back on and just tighten finger tight, tighten the small screw all the way, now loosen the stop motion wheel and press on the foot control gently, the balance wheel should move with moving the machine, if the machine turns then start over again, you can put the three pronged washer upside down if you wish.
