I would try another keyboard to see see if the keyboard itself need to just be replaced. The key itself is not flixable. it would be cheaper to replace the the keyboard. good luck.

SOURCE: YPG535 keyboard is touch sensitive

Yep! Each key has two contacts, These are often conductive rubber pills that are pressed by the keys onto circuit traces completing the circuit. One of the contacts makes before the other so the procesor can measure the time between the closure of the two contacts. When one of the contacts doesn't make, the velocity is sensed as MAXIMUM so it HAMMERS !!!

Your problem is a contact isn't making... Your probllem to fix it is to ACCESS the contacts to clean them. Clean the contacts with ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q tips.

Ketron vega c key needs to be pressed hard to work

If you have a Ketron Vega C keyboard where one of the keys requires more pressure to work, it could indicate a mechanical issue with that specific key. Here are a few steps you can take to address the problem:
  1. Clean the Key: Dust, debris, or foreign objects may be obstructing the key's movement. Use a can of compressed air or a soft brush to gently clean around the key and remove any particles that might be causing the issue.
  2. Check for Physical Damage: Examine the key and the surrounding area for any signs of physical damage, such as a broken keycap or a loose key mechanism. If you notice any damage, it may be necessary to replace the affected key or seek professional repair.
  3. Lubricate the Key Mechanism: Over time, the key mechanism may become stiff or sticky, causing the key to require more pressure to function. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or contact cleaner to the key mechanism, following the manufacturer's instructions. Be careful not to use excessive lubricant, as it could cause other issues.
  4. Test Other Keys: Check if the issue is isolated to a single key or if multiple keys are affected. If only one key is problematic, it's more likely a localized issue with that specific key mechanism.
  5. Seek Professional Repair: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or if you are uncomfortable performing the repairs yourself, it is recommended to contact a professional technician or the Ketron customer support for further assistance. They will have the expertise and tools to diagnose and fix the specific problem with the key.

My Ketron Sd5 seems to play a different key on the right than on the left. For example if I play a beat in the key of G (left) the right hand side plays in A. Can you help?

I'm almost sure that your pitch bender is going crazy and it feeds right hand with constant transpose of -2. You must change it with new one.

How to fix loud key on Privia PX-830

I just fixed mine, it was making the loud sounds and had seemed to have lost the sensitivity. Take out all the screws on the outside, then the sides can come off. That gives access to the inside where you can take out a few more screws (easily seen) and open it all up. The keys themselves just snap in, so two small screwdrivers or strong fingernails can pop them back out. Clean the rubber contacts (they look like little sockets) with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol, then replace the keys. If you take out the white keys of an octave first, then the black keys (keeping them in order) it is a lot easier.

YPG535 keyboard is touch sensitive though one key suddenly makes a hammering (hard) sound when touching softly (seems to have lost its touch sensitivity). Does anyone have any insights on this issue?

My touchpad has lost sensitivity. How do I fix it?I have to use the right.left bars underneath once I make a selection.

It seems that the sensitivity for the touchpad has dipped. Hoping that you might be using Synaptic's touchpad.
See if this helps..
1.. Click Start then click Control Panel.

2.. Click Printers and Other Hardware then click Mouse.

3.. Select the Device Settings tab.

4.. Highlight Synaptics TouchPad in the list and click the Settings
button.

5.. Click the plus sign next to Sensitivity to change the sensitivity settings of the touchpad.

If you are not getting any positive result from changing the settings, you can uninstall and re-install the drivers for the same and then check it once again. If all fails, this leads to the result that the touchpad is itself damaged and you need to replace it.
Cheers!

Casio PX700 sensors not working

Hi. I don't have a 700, but on the other privia's I have seen, there is a function key combo to turn on and off the touch response. Go to casio, and download the manual. You hit "fn" and then one of the lower keys. There are 4 levels of sensitivity on my machine. -Don

Keyboard is too sensitive - getting multiple characters

I too have encountered this problem. It was the q key on a dell latitude d530. After reading a post on an osxforum describing a software issue i attempted to fix the problem by adjusting the sensitivity of the keyboard. This did nothing. Next i attempted to determine if there was a physical issue. I popped the key off and discovered nothing. I also popped out the white plastic 'scissors' that the key fixes too and still discovered nothing. I looked under the rubber... nothing. compared it to another key... nothing. All in all I could find nothing abnormal about this key other than the fact that it was super sensitive. so I began to experiment. I put a piece of paper under the rubber. This made the sensitivity just about perfect so I left the little bit of paper in place, reassembled, and have had no further problems. This is ghetto i know but it worked for me...

F key came off

1.
If you have the key retainer (image) you can find some good instructions on the webpage.

2.
If you do not have the retainer you will have to buy either the key or the entire keyboard from ebay. As of Jan 1 there are no keys available for acer keyboards but the entire keyboard is available here and here.
