When I turn my reddy heater on model R115d(t) the fan cycle for approximatley 5 seconds then stops. The glow plug is getting red but no fuel. What could cause this?

Could be a dirty air filter. Fuel nozzle could be clogged. Fuel filter clogged, if it has one. Some don't. Could be a problem with the low pressure compressor that is attached to back of the fan motor.

Sounds like Flame sensing probe or some call it a thermo coupling, Should be located near the igniter Try cleaning with steel wool if that doest work might have to replace it.

Sorry, this is not a solution but some advice, Kerosene heaters can give off dangerous fumes if not working correctly, for your own safety you should contact the manufacturer.

I have a 100,000 btu reddy heater, and every time I turn it on, it runs for about 5 minutes, then stops, then I have to push the reset button and start it again. Can you tell me where to start? thanx

If it actually ignites and burns but shuts off either the flame sensor is bad (or dirty) or the control is bad. I would verify the flame sensor is clean and had good electrical connections to the controller for starters.

Heater will come on for about 4 seconds then shut off. I have a 115 BTU kerosene Reddy Heater.

Removed filter and blew out a tiny piece of debris. Didnt think that would be enough to do any harm. Put the filter back in and it started up and runs great now.
