Can someone become a navy seal with a ged?

Im not going to bore you with my education issues i just want a straightforward answer. So my question is this. Can someone with a ged (tier 2) join the navy (i know they can) but become a navy seal or would they only be able to have a on deck job. Also i read that you cant join the marines with a ged, if it matters id rather join the corps.

The short answer is yes. You will have to get some time in rank and in service. You will need to take advantage of education while in first enlistment then upon reenlistment negotiate to start the path to becoming a seal.

Joining the NAVY?

yes you can. Talk to a Navy recruiter but make sure they are OFFICER Recruiting NOT ENLISTED recruiting.
With your education you may qualify for Nuclear Power school and submarines but also would be given your choice. Remember, you NEVER experimented with drugs. Ever. Good Luck.

What's to do on an aircraft carrier, off duty wise. Is there any place to spend your money? Clubs, or dinners, a mini fast food franchise?

first, there is not much off duty time. most people either stand watch and work 12 hours a day.
in the other 12 you usually sleep, work out, read, watch movies, play cards. there are no clubs or diners. four meals a day are provided and there is a "Gedunk", the Navy equivalent of a small 7-11.

I can't decide which branch in the military I want to join. I'm torn between the army and the navy. Any opinions?

Do you like sleeping in the mud or in a hot tent - join the Army.
If you want an air conditioned bed on a clean ship with hot showers - Go Navy.

What's the best route to take to become a fixed-wing pilot in the military?

I recommend joining the Air Force if you want to become a pilot however, people don't just become pilots after having a Bachelors. You have to meet the requirements, pass the exams and be medically cleared and in shape, this applies to all branches. On the other hand its a challenge that only you can decide. I recommend talking to the nearest recruiter.
