I am looking for a manual for remington pole saw, model 108526-01

The chain came off and I do not know exactly how to re-attach it and tension it to keep it from coming off again.

Could you please attach a link to the manual by return e-mail?

Thank You,
Gary Johnson

Here is a link to the instructions to replace a chain and tension it properly... http://12.153.20.74/manuals/113556-01A.pdf. Here is a link to the owner's manual you requested...
http://12.153.20.74/manuals/108539-01L.PDF . If your chain is new they will stretch quickly during their break-in period and will have to be tightened frequently. Once they have been used for a while they will not have to be tightened as often. Sometime if you also need stech and fall off quite a bit. If you need a replacement chain (8SC), you can find them oline at www.masterparts.net. Also, if the guide bar nuts are not tightened securely the bar will not remain in adjustment. Make sure that the guide bar bolts are tightened. I hope this helps!

108526-1 pole saw

I bought this chain without first examining the "count" of my old chain. I found this new chain had 39 drive-links while my OLD chain had 40 links. My 10" Remington saw had enough chain-tensioning adjustment to compensate for that missing link and this new 39-link chain runs fine... cuts very well. Happy.

Where can I find a bar & chain for a remington

You provide no model number for your saw. What is pictured is a RPS96.
Remington.com
http://www.desaparts.com/index.htm
  • Type "YourModelNo" (RPS96) into the "Model #:" window, then click search.
  • Click the YourModelNo - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
  • Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Breakdown" link.
There are 8, 10, 12 and 14" chains on the IPB depending on the actual model pole saw. RemingtonPower is no longer in production, and parts are often difficuilt to find. All 4 chains listed are available and range form $12.92 to 15.95 plus shipping and handling. You can take your saw (or just the chain) to a local saw outlet and have one fabricated in about 5 minutes. It is rarely more expensive at a local outlete and you save shipping and handling fees. HTH

REMINGTON POLE CHAIN SAW

The chain has to be tensioned when replaced. You lift the chain away from the bar about halfway and the tangs that run in the bar should just almost come out of the groove. There is a screw that extends the bar near where it attaches near the sprocket. adjust that with the bar mounting nuts not quite tight till the chain is tensioned correctely.

Does my remington chain saw model #m15014AS go with the remington ext.pole model #rps96

No, the largest electric pole chain saw that can be attached to a pole with the Remington Pole Saw kit, is a 10" saw.

You can go to Master Distributors to find out more detailed info about your situation and speak with one of their reps.
