All the software downloaded except for the mcafee antivus plus. it never gave me a place to add the code

If you have purchased the product legitimately you will have a valid licence key provided with it. Then you can install and uninstall the software as often as you like for so long as the key code you have is still valid.

Sometimes AntiVirus software, even from names like Norton and McAfee, falsely detect good software as a dangerous download. If the player is NOT brand new, never-been-used, and fresh out of the box, then I would format the mp3 player first to make sure that there really isn't a virus on it. If it is brand-new, then you can either turn off the McAfee or change the settings (temporarily) which lead to automatically remove threats - make sure to reactivate this setting once the software is installed.
