Sounds like you've lost a motor. Same thing happened with my Kitchen Aid. Toasted motor.

They don't have fuses.You have a red light that indicates it is receiving power. Were you trying to process some stringy meat or were you putting it through a pretty good load? It only takes one good strenuous duty to hurt the Cuisinart. I did it on my "Bullet Proof" Kitchen Aid! Gristle got wound up under the blades and just bound it up to a slow and painful *****.
No, have only blended runny batter, ice cream shakes, juices, gravey, and soups. The spindle can be rotated easily in the base by hand but doesn't budge when any buttons are pressed.
Hope it's still under warranty.
