NOT being an expert on Irons but I'd pretty much guess if water is pouring out where steam is suppose to come out, then the heater element that makes your steam is not working.
I think you have a tank that is calcified and is not getting enough heat to the water assuming there is enough water in it. If it was blocked it would either cause the relief valve to vent or explode.
I would start by cleaning it, my best guess would be to run a few cycles with vinegar in it. This is a mild acid that will dissolve the calcium deposits. Try maybe a 50%-50% with vinegar and water.
Be sure the vinegar will not damage the unit, I do not know.
try putting straight vinegar in the water tank. Let it set until you see the deposit dissolved. Pour it out, rinse and use either some decalcified water or add a couple tsp. of vinegar to the tank each time you use it.
open the screws use tester its a device.. when u connect it to electricity it glows. plug it on and check the wires end if one wire glows its ok.. other wise u hav to change wiring
