Ive got a question about a 22 ft companion travil trailer

I unhooked my 22ft 1998 trail trailer from my brother outlet to his house . the batttiers to my trailer are fully charged , but now i cant use my outlets in my camper . why

Plug it back in to the house electrics .then search for the inverter on the trailer .

Oil Cooler Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
  2. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter housing.

  1. Loosen the oil cooler outlet (1) and the inlet (2) lines from the engine block.
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Remove the intake plenum.
  4. Remove the intake manifold.

  1. Disconnect the following electrical connectors from the water crossover:
    • The engine coolant temperature sender (2)
    • The engine coolant temperature sensor (4)

  1. Remove the water crossover bolts (1).
  2. Remove the water crossover upper and lower seals (2).

  1. Loosen the upper heat shield bolts on the left side of the exhaust manifold.

  1. Remove the oil cooler outlet line from the engine oil cooler.
  2. Remove the oil cooler inlet line from the engine oil cooler.

  1. Note the positioning of the 4 seals.

  1. Position the oil feed and return,lines out of the way and secure with mechanic wire.
  2. Remove the engine oil cooler, inlet and outlet nuts (1).
  3. Remove the engine oil cooler cover bolts (2).

  3. Clean all sealing surfaces.

  1. Install the engine oil cooler.
  2. Apply a 2 mm (0.08 inch) bead of RTV silicone sealant, GM P/N 12346240, in the groove around the engine oil cooler cover.
  3. Install the engine oil cooler cover.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

  1. Install the engine oil cooler cover bolts (2). Tighten the engine oil cooler cover bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
  2. Install the engine oil cooler inlet and outlet nuts (1). Tighten the engine oil cooler inlet and outlet nuts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
  3. Reposition the oil feed and return lines.

  1. Install the intake manifold.
  2. Install the intake plenum.

  1. Tighten in four steps (refer to illustration in Cylinder Head Installation for tightening sequence):
    • Tighten in sequence to 70-90 Nm (52-66 Lb-Ft)
    • Then back off all bolts 360 degrees
    • Tighten in sequence to 45-55 Nm (34-40 Lb-Ft)
    • Tighten in sequence to 85-99 Nm (63-73 Lb-Ft)
  2. Tighten in two steps
    • 20-30 Nm (15-22 Lb-Ft)
    • 26-32 Nm (20-23 Lb-Ft)
  3. Advance 3/4 to 1 turn after gasket contacts sealing surface or tighten to 13-15 Nm (10-11 Lb-Ft).
  4. Tighten in two steps:
    • 7-15 Nm (6-11 Lb-Ft)
    • 26-38 Nm (20-28 Lb-Ft)
  5. Refer to illustration in the Cylinder Head Installation procedure for tightening sequence.

I need to replace a thermostat in a 2000 Chevy 2500 6.0 liter pickup


4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L Engines To Remove:
CAUTION
The thermostat is not serviceable separately. The thermostat housing (water pump inlet) and thermostat must be replaced as an assembly.
  1. Remove the radiator outlet hose. chevy_aval15_02-04_inlet.gif

  2. Remove the bolts from water pump inlet.
  3. Remove the water pump inlet from the water pump.
To Install:
  1. Install the water pump inlet to the water pump.
  2. Install the water pump inlet bolts.
    • Torque to: 11 ft-lbs. (15 Nm)
  3. Install the radiator outlet hose.
6.6L Engine To Remove:
  1. Before servicing the vehicle refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
  2. Drain the engine coolant.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    • Bolt for the fuel line bracket
    • Thermostat housing cover bolts
    • Thermostats and seals
To Install:

  1. Install or connect the following:
    • Thermostats and seals to the thermostat housing NOTE: The rear thermostat (D) has 2 vent valves. Install with the vent valves towards the rear of engine.
    • Thermostat housing cover with a NEW gasket
    • Thermostat housing cover bolts and tighten the bolts
      1. Torque to: 15 ft. lbs. (21 Nm)
    • Fuel line bracket bolt and tighten the bolt
      1. Torque to: 15 ft. lbs. (21 Nm)
    • Water outlet
  2. Fill the engine with coolant.
  3. Test drive the vehicle to confirm the repairs.
8.1L Engine To Remove:
  1. Before servicing the vehicle refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:

    • Water outlet bolts (B)
    • Water outlet (A)
    • Thermostat (C)
To Install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
    • Thermostat
    • Water outlet

    • Inlet hose to the water outlet
  2. Fill the cooling system.

3.6L Engine
  1. Remove the heater hoses.
  2. Remove the throttle body.
  3. Remove the radiator water pipe outlet.
  4. Remove the thermostat and housing.

    NOTE The thermostat and housing are replaced as a complete unit.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the housing bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).

3.8L Engine
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
  2. Partially drain the cooling system.
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet housing.
  4. Reposition the wiring harness from the water outlet housing stud.
  5. Remove the water outlet housing bolt and the stud.
  6. Remove the water outlet housing and the gasket.
  7. Remove the thermostat.
  8. Clean and Inspect the water outlet housing gasket mating surfaces.
To install:
  1. Install the thermostat.
  2. Install the gasket and the water outlet housing.
  3. Install the water outlet housing bolt and the stud to the water outlet housing and tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
  4. Install the wiring harness to the water outlet housing stud.
  5. Install the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet housing.
  6. Fill the cooling system.
  7. Install the fuel injector sight shield.

I want to hook up a trailer to my truck. I notice there are "extra" outlets or something at the rear. Are these there to hook to?


any extra outlets would only be used depending on how your`` trailer is optioned.do you need a brake controller?do you have back-up light?do you need to charge a second battery?these would be the only reason to need the extra plugs.
