The internal left mouse button does not work on my IBM ThinkPad R51. The USB mouse works fine. My son figured out a way to make the right mouse button function as the left, and that worked, so he thinks it's a software problem. How can I fix it? Thanks.
Windows has the ability to swap mouse buttons, mainly for those who mouse left-handed. It looks to the right button for left button action. It seems that the actual left button is not functioning. A work-around is to use the right button as the left as you are now doing, AND, use the solid windows button (the one to the immediate left of the right control key) as the right button. Not as easy, but it works.
