Can you explain to me better " The rep around the condenser is leaking" Did you change your compressor and substitute 134a refrigerant with R-600a.I have not seen the R-600a yet used on the refrigerators we service for our customers.(Texas) I have heard of it being used in Europe.

Furnace has water under it, why? Its a Dayton gas furnace.

There are several questions that need to be answered about what type of system you have, but i found this posting that may help:
As your gas furnace runs, is there water leaking at the base? Is the furnace's air filter wet, too? There are a few things that could be happening here. But if you have a high-efficiency furnace, here's the most common cause: a condensation leak.
We'll explain why a furnace creates condensation, and what's causing it to leak out of your furnace.
Note: You'll know if you have a high-efficiency furnace if:
  • The yellow energy guide tag says your furnace's efficiency is 90% or higher AFUE.
  • The vent/flue pipe is white PVC as opposed to metal.
Why a high-efficiency furnace creates condensation
How in the heck does a high efficiency furnace create condensation/water anyway?
It's all about how the furnace extracts heat from combustion gases.
A lower-efficiency furnace extracts some heat from combustion gases and then quickly vents them out the flue pipe.
But a high-efficiency furnace, to extract more heat, has 2 heat exchangers. These allow the furnace to extract heat from the gases for a longer period of time. This causes the combustion gases to cool and then condense.
That condensation then exits out your home through a drain. But if that water is pooling around the furnace, there's a problem preventing it from draining properly.
Causes of a condensation leak around a high-efficiency furnace
  • Clogged condensation tubing
  • Clogged condensation drain
  • Breaks in the condensation line
  • Issues with the condensate pump (if you have one)
You'll need a furnace technician to diagnose which of these is the issue and then fix it.
Other causes of leaking water around a furnace
If you have a conventional, standard-efficiency furnace...then its flue pipe may be incorrectly sized.
If you have a whole-house humidifier connected to the furnace...there may be an issue which is causing the humidifier to leak into your furnace. Your humidifier should be getting annual maintenance from a professional to prevent this.

Installed a year-and-a-half ago, problems so far: thermostat replaced on hot water tank within one month of installation, one pump replaced, leaking plug in the front of boiler with Dunkirk rep never

Its probably time for small claims court and a new company to install good equipment. Have a couple different companies/contractors give an estimate and possibly expert advice/witness you would then be able to use in court so you can get reimbursed from a bad company. Hope it all works out.

A/C coolant from condenser

First of all, refridgerant is a gas. All AC systems leak water due to the condensation from the ice cold pipes meeting the hot ambient temps. Look around at most other cars in parking lots, anyone using they're ac will have a puddle. Get other opinions before you act.

I talked with you last week on a possible restriction problem. The unit would go into a vacuum on suction side as soon as i started it. We both agreed it might be the expansion valve which i replaced. Now...

Hello, if the pressure is dropping that fast there is a leak on the low side, mighr be a schraeder valve or possibly around compressor. However whn charging freon both valves should be open or the freon will pump down in the condenser and the low side pressure will drop to 0

Water is leaking out of the bottom of my furnace. could something be plugged?

What type of fuel does your furnace burn?

Gas does condense more water when it fires, that oil--
and that condensing can be running out--- Usually that would be toward the discharge section of the furnace-- as the exhaust gasses might cool and condense upon leaving the furnace.

Or-- do you have a humidifier on the furnace--and maybe the little water sump is overflowing?

Be brave, and open a panel or two, and look around-- above the area the water is leaking out of-- what is in that area?

I don't think that the drain is blocked, the toilette flushes no problem and it's a new bathroom (in the basement) in a newish house. The toilettes are also new. I've checked the outlside of the toilette...

I wonder, did they caulk around the bottom where it meets the floor. I guess condensation could happen if the room is very humid. but the condensation would be all over the tank. try caulking the base , let dry and try looking for the leak again. this should isolate if its coming from under the toilet or from the surface.

When my 2004 XC 90 sits up at night in the garage the next morning it has a gas odor from the rear of the car. The odor is outside the car but there or no obvious gas leaks.

Had the same problem. The seal around the top of the gas tank was leaking. The service rep indicated that this was a common problem.
