I've just fixed my Daewoo fridge freezer that was leaking water. As mentioned in another comment, the drain pipe was the problem.
1. Remove panel on back of fridge at bottom. Vacuum dust / cobwebs. The drain tube is the clear / yellowish ridged plastic tube. It carries water to the black pan.
2. Empty freezer. Unscrew bottom panel at back (screws located behind white plastic caps which pop off).
3. Just below the cover for the light (halfway up the back of the freezer) is another cap with a screw recessed behind it. Mine was frozen up so these with warm water, then unscrew.
4. Remove lower back panel. You will expose the radiator like fins etc
5. At the bottom of the refrigerant pipes and fins is a shelf. Again my was all iced up. Thaw it out with more warm water and as you clear it you will see the drain hole.
6. Keep going with the warm water, maybe poke screwdriver down the hole to help clear. When the water starts to drain check behind the fridge - the water should be running down the drain pipe to the pan. If no luck give the pipe a gentle wiggle as mine seemed to be blocked right at the bottom.
7. Hopefully the freezer should be draining. Refix panels and restock freezer.
Hopefully job done.
Ben
P.s. I'm not an engineer. I just thought I'd share my experience in the hope it would help others. Drain blockages are common and in the Daewoo they are hard to locate! Hopefully I've saved you some time.
Hello anonymous...
Nice.. (and unusual)
that your question came with the make & model..
Thank you.
Sadly... Your FRIG resolves to the wrong side of the planet (down-under = my great admiration (it's till yesterday morning here = SF Bay Area))... So looking at/for your "spares" is difficult.
In any case... there are only a couple of reasons:
1. ice maker overfilling... (adjust cube size >> smaller).
2. water is not EXITING properly through your DRAIN into your DEFROST (evaporation) pan (called "dish")... at the bottom.
The simplest way to check... FIND that pan (most likely at rear)...
if it is dry you will have to find a way to coax WARM (not hot) water through the freezer vent into the DRAIN-PAN directly below the EVAPORATION COIL (inside the back of the FREEZER COMPARTMENT...
Else remove the back panel ... clean the drain tray...
Be VERY CAREFUL nothing is touching or conducting water away from the drain (check water flows from the drain = open)... and that ALUMINUM EVAP is very fragile...
(SOFT ALUMINUM = really hard to repair)
A cup of water into the top should very soon all be deposited into the DEFROST PAN ("dish") AT THE BOTTOM ...
Do have your towels & wet/dry vacuum ready for flooring protection... and HOPE this helps (to get it sorted)...!!
Unless it has a water pipe plumbed into it then the water is melting ice or condensation, it's supposed to do this. You need to put a tray or some paper under it.

I have a GE Profile Perfomance Model 22 ( TN22PRCBRBS)..I`ve had it for 11 years and I`ve noticed a leak developing from my ice maker onto the base of the freezer..I`ve had to chisel the ice that continously forms everyother day..I checked to see if I could investigate but I can`t get to the source ,which is the water line connecting to the ice maker itself..Any suggestions?

Most likely your defrost condensate drain in the rear of your freeze is frozen over. I have put together a long page on the link below. Little too much about leaks in refrigerators and how to solve the problem to fit this page. Choose the part that applies most to your situation and let me know how I may help you resolve yours. I'll be here if you need so click on the link below, Thanks, Sea Breeze
HOW TO FIX A DRAIN LEAK INSIDE REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER PART 2
SOURCE: Kenmore refrigerator (model 106.78187891) leaking inside
Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use
and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater
comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost
drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the
freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.
Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end
because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the
evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it.
Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing
it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent
refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the
lower back of the freezer.
