First, use the same oil and mix it the same from batch to batch, once you have made a batch (gallon or what ever, never add gas or oil to make more, use up the batch to the last drop, then make a new gallon). Be sure the air filter is clean, some are weted with oil to catch more dirt and provide a bit of extra suction, clean and spray it with a spray cookingoil or soak it in oil fuel mix. Next: Look for 3 adjustment screws on the carb. should be three total. 1 screw is for idle adjustment. the other 2 should be close to each other, one is low speed fuel/air mix and the other is high fuel/air mix. Adjust the low fuel/air mix screw until it will idle un-added with the throttle then adjust the idle on the throttle to get a good idle speed. Next adjust the High fuel/air mix until it gets the RPM's you want it to have. It should go from idle to high speed with out hesitation or cough. It should also run with power to cut any weeds or limbs with out bogging out.
