I would guess that a simple scart lead will do the job with aerial connected to the box and a cable from the box rf out to the tv aerial socket. ...that is what I would expect unless these are modern, HDMI equipped units

My Polaroid smart tv isn't recording things showing in scheduled list

  1. Check the storage capacity of your USB drive. If it's full, free up some space or use a larger USB drive.
  2. Check if the USB drive is formatted correctly. It should be formatted in a file system that is compatible with your TV.
  3. Make sure the TV is set to record to the correct source (USB drive).
  4. If the TV is still not recording, try restarting the TV and the USB drive.
  5. If the issue persists, check for any firmware updates for your TV and install them if available.
  6. If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact Polaroid customer support for further assistance.
Keep in mind that the exact steps to resolve this issue may vary depending on the model of your Polaroid smart TV.

Hi. We are trying to setup a phillips tv through a bt vision box please

  1. A TV aerial feed - The BT Vision box gets its digital TV signals over-the-air, so needs a TV aerial. This needs to be connected to the aerial input socket on the V-Box. There is an output RF aerial socket to allow you to connect an aerial feed to a TV if required.
  2. SCART lead - You need to make a connection from the Vision+ box to the TV using a SCART lead. If you have a HD TV set, you can also connect via an HDMI lead (not supplied).
  3. Connection to Broadband - You'll need to connect from the BT Vision+ box to a BT Broadband connection. This is done using the BT Home Hub. The Home Hub is the Broadband router supplied by BT, and it connects into to your phone line to give you Internet access-The most common way to make the connection, is to connect an Ethernet (networking) cable from the BT Vision+ box to one of the Ethernet ports on the Home Hub. If you can't make a direct connecting to the Home Hub, you can use powerline adapters to make the connection. The self-install kit includes two Powerline adapters to allow you to connect to the Home Hub if it's in a different room to the BT Vision+ Box.
  4. The BT Vision v-box has an additional scart socket, which can be connected to a video or dvd recorder.

How do you set up digi box with VHS recorderand Tv. Digi box has two scart leads

Take one scart from the digi-box & connect the other end to the TV, & the second scart on the digi-box can connect to the VCR. To record from the digi-box, the VCR must be set to the AUX input (or AV ). The TV will also be set to the AV input, this set up will let you watch digital channels & to record a digital source. Be aware depending on your type of digi-box, you may not be able to record & watch two different digital channels at the same time.

Connecting a dvd 250gb hard drive recorder to tv and virgin box

Right then, on the back of the virgin box there are 2 scart outlets, connect one scart from the TV scart port to the scart in on the DVD recorder, then connect one scart lead from the scart out on the DVD recorder to the TV.
Find the DVD recorder source channel on the TV and then use the DVD remote control to find the digital input on the DVD recorder, this is usually AUX channel.
Post back if you need any more help

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!

hi i found my own soulution for recording i will tell you an easy way fist of all you need another freeview box only connect this to your archos and have the other box connected like normal to your tv and place your archos and other box near your tv buy a 2 way splitter from wilkinsons and connect this where your ariel box is probably near the window and get another tv lead to reach your freeview box for the archos this means you have a connection running from the tv box for your normal tv and f box and another for the archos and f box cos of the 2 way splitter you can then record on the archos from the f box and watch another channel on your tv then playback later what you recorded of your archos on your big tv please let me know if you sort this and let me no if you get stuck its great when you get it all set up and it works thanks.
