The deck belt keeps coming off even after being replaced with OEM belt. We have a 2005 lt1042 cub cadet riding mower with 188 hours.

Cub Cadet LT1042 PTO keeps shutting off after mowing several feet, will turn right back on but keeps shutting off

I have a Cub Cadet 1605 and it does the same exact thing. Try the PTO switch on the dash. I replaced mine and it works fine. Hope this helps.

What size replacment belt can I but for a 54inch cut cub cadet mower. And is there any suggestions on how to keep the belt from slipping off?

they changed the part number for that belt new # is 954-3068 B x 110.6 your old belt was probaly streched so when you install new one it should ride on pulleys correctly

PTO WHEN PULLED DOES NOT ENGAGE....BLADES DO NOT START...

Check your mower deck spindles and belt. If belt is slipping at all the PTO will not engage.

How do you replace the mower belt on a cub cadet?

check the alignment of the ideler pully to make sure it is even withe the drive pulleys. if not in line it will cause the belt to break. There is a spacer that is on the idler that should be on top and not on the bottom of the pully.
