Mine has stopped working. it makes a sound though. i bought it about 2 years ago. is it covered by guarantee and where can it be repaired in WA

The switch isn't making contact. If it's still under warranty....have it repaired under warranty.

not sure what that could be,if you have no power at all,i would first check and make sure the fuse is ok.
or try plugging it in another outlet to to make sure its not the outlet thats faulty.

What I would do is try to see if the manufactor is around yet, like maybe looking on the internet for them or if you have the paper work yet for it look for a phone number on it and see what they say,or maybe a repair man in your area knows what to do about it.

It seems that the base of the button is not working properly . You need just to change the base of the button or fix it . I recommend taking it to the service . Since you bought it lately I would recommend replacing it if you still have the guarantee.

Yes, pry the display cover off and you will find 2 screws. You will find a switch and circuit board. From the circuit board to the switch you will finf a fuse. This is probaby the problem.

The motor has burned out. Check with the manufacturer about warranty status for the blender or exchange it.

Gasket is not the problem.
Square shaft that is pressed into the turning gear is not tight and allows leaking through the connection.
Only repair is to replace the assembly with the gear drive, blades, etc. and this will take care of the leak. The "O" ring gasket is fine and holds the liquids. However the leak is around the center of the shaft that goes through the bottom.

Those small plastig bungs do come out, you will need a fine probe to prise them out then you will see 2 philips head screws which hold it all together, not sure how you will tighten your shaft though, looks like it might be moulded into the plastic retainer, good luck! on mine the motor bearings are seized,

i have had this unit for 2 years and the first thing that will go out is the cooling fans, they either stop altogether or start making a loud noise. i suggest to anyone else who has this to go to a computer store and buy 2 quality 90mm fans, they will screw and connect right into the unit. mine initally died about 4 months into use and after replacing them with good fans i never had a problem with it. mine however is a dust magnet and if i dont remove the fans and clean off the heatsinks about every 3 months, the water wont get very cold. mine now is starting to leak water, a big loss since we use this thing all the time.
