Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Philips digital tv won’t turn on.

unplug from electric, wait 30 seconds, plug back in. Check that you have power at the outlet (fuse/breaker shut off?) If it has a power word which plugs into the TV as well as the wall, be SURE it is tightly attached to BOTH. Make sure you aren't blocking the remote control receiver (you can turn most TVs on/off on the TV itself -- look for a power button). Be sure your remote has fresh batteries. Good luck!

I have a toshiba tv 39al900a which was won in a raffle. When you turn it on it says please scan channels.t.

The first step is to make sure you have good batteries in the remote. The ones included tends to be cheap and you have no idea how old they are.
Here is the manual, page 12 explains how to use the remote and the next few pages cover the initial setup and scanning of channels.

Can a tv lose the ability to read codes from a universal remote cause i tried three different un. remotes and my tv doesent react to them.. thnx

If the infrared sensor inside the TV is faulty, TV won't respond to any remote controls. You can make it sure by looking into TVs standby light. If standby light on TVs front panel blinks once, when you press a key in the remtote control, make sure that the sensor inside is working properly, and the code you are trying to enter is non once for your Brand TV, If there is no blinks as such stated above, make sure that the infrared sensor inside your TV is faulty. If you want more details about codes, setup proceedings, repairing a remote & checking it, just visit this site. Th site name is "Electro-help".. Just search for it by type in 'electronicshelponline' in your browsers' search page. It is a blogspot site, in English language.

Remote for box 1 is changing channels for remote 2 and remote 2 does not work

lieslmc

Are you getting the same picture on both TVs - TV 1 and TV 2? Depending on the receiver model, you have a mode button either on the front of the receiver or behind a door on the right side of the receiver. You also should have a green (TV 1), amber (mode), and blue (TV 2) lights on the receiver. If TV 2 is one, the blue light should be lit. The amber light should be lit under the dual mode. Press and release the mode button on the receiver to put the receiver in dual mode. The blue light (TV 2) should illuminate now and this will give you independent operation between the two TVs. I hope this helps.

TV won't turn on

The red light instead of green is an indication that theres a voltage missing or an improper voltage in the sweep or main power supplys. This should be handled by a trained service tech. Good Luck
