This water filter is less than a year old and it leaks.
Since you weren't very specific where it leaks or when it started (like after a filter change) it could be tough to troubleshoot this leak.
If it is leaking at the faucet connection try tightening up where it screws onto the faucet. Depending on your strength (or lack of) you may need to use pliers to get a tight connection. Don't go crazy tight or it will crack the plastic fitting. If it still leaks remove the unit from the faucet and check the rubber washer inside where it screws onto the faucet. Make sure it's still there and is centered inside the cup and seated properly. Then reattach the unit to the faucet and tighten it well.
If it's leaking from the main body try removing the filter and reinstalling it making sure you have seated the filter properly and screwed on the cover correctly, and all the way. When it is tight the water outlet will be exactly at the bottom of the unit. Sometimes it's tricky getting it tight enough especially with wet hands.
Finally, if the leak is coming from the filter on/off selector this could be tough to fix. I would try firmly pushing and pulling the selector knob in and out several times while in both the on and off positions. This may re-seat the leaking seal. I wouldn't be too hopeful about this fix though. You may need to replace the unit if this part is leaking.
The problem I found is the water leaks between the plastic and metal of the adapted due to poor design. I mixed a tiny dab of 2 part liquid exoxy in dripped it into the 3 rectangles of plastic exposing the metal................problem solved for that leak. I personnally love the PUR, problems and all.
What if the plastic fitting was cracked? will the unit need to be replaced?

It's leaking around the on/off selctor and the bottom of the faucet connector.
IT LEAKS AROUND THE ON/OFF SELECTOR AND THE FAUCET CONNECTOR.
