My kenmore oasis dryer comes on but doesn't run

The tumbler is belt-driven so it could be a broken or slipped belt. It isn't hard to replace the belt itself but sometimes getting to it can be a real pain. Search online for service manual or diagrams if you want to attempt it yourself.

Washer does not spin water out of clothes

Does the water all pump out? If it does and not spinning could be your belt slipping or two many clothes it it. If it doesn't spin out even a smaller load then it is more than likely the belt.

Belt starting slipping, adjusted according to User's manual...belt still slips.

hi,
Here is the steps to adjust the treadmill belt,
(1). Turn off the treadmill and remove the plug from the wall outlet to make sure it doesn't turn on during the readjustment process.

(2).Tighten the roller bolts on the rear of the treadmill belt with an Allen wrench. Tighten both the right and left bolts with 1/4 turns.

(3).Avoid tightening the bolts more than 1/4 of a turn at a time. If the belt is tightened too much, it may cause damage to the belt, which would require a replacement.

(4).Plug the treadmill into the wall and press "Power."

(5). Select a program and begin walking. If the treadmill is still slipping, turn off the treadmill, unplug it and tighten the bolt a 1/4 turn again until it is properly adjusted.

watch the following video which will help you to do the same. All brand hve the same procedure for tighten the walking belt.

If then also the belt is slipping then you have to replace the running belt with a new one.

After replacing the serpentine belt, it keeps slipping off. why

Either your tensioner has lost its "spring back" or something is misaligned or wobbling. Make sure that you have the right belt and pulleys.

Sometimes, when something is replaced the pulley is different that the one taken off, and the belt doesn't sit all the way down into the slots.

Our Sebo Automatic x1 will now only pick up with nozzle. Hight adjustment doesn't seem to operate and no green lights display. No blockage found, roller works okay. Help! Wife becoming v. angry.

The belt on the motor shaft is probably slipping off. I have the same problem and that's what I saw when I opened the vacuum. I keep putting the belt back, but it slips off again. The belts aren't supposed to stretch. I am going to call Sebo and take mine to an authorized service place to make sure that it is just a stretched belt.

Our Hoover (3535d) dryer tumbler does not want to spin although you can hear the motor starting. The load does not appear to matter. There is no sign of belt slipping. Can the problem be due to the start...

If you hear the motor starting then it normally wouldn't be the start capacitor. It is when it doesn't start that you suspect the capacitor.

If your motor is turning and belt is NOT slipping then your drum should be turning! Those things do tell you that your electronic (control board and timer) are good, but you are wrong about either the motor or the belt!

The resistance belt on my nordictrack 1300 woulnt tighten. How do I fix it? Thanks for you assistance.

When using the NordicTrack in manualmode, you can adjust its resistance by twisting a resistance knob, locatedeither in the corner of the console or on the upright support. If the treadmillbelt slips from side to side, you need to adjust its tension via bolts locatedin the back of the machine frame. First find the treadmill adjustmentbolts in the rear end of the treadmill frame, to either side of the belt. Now putin an Allen wrench into each bolt, one at a time, and turn each bolt aquarter-turn clockwise. Slip one hand among the belt and the treadmill deck. Ifthis doesn't pull the treadmill belt taut, it's still too loose. Tighten thebolts another quarter-turn. Continue testing the belt tension, then adjustingthe bolts as needed, until the belt is just loose enough for you to slip yourhand between it and the deck with no extra slack. Step onto the treadmill andwalk. The belt shouldn't bind or slip side to side. If it does, dismount andre-adjust the bolts until the belt tracks correctly. AV

Dryer doesn;t spin

Sounds like the belt has broken. The terrible noise was probably the belt slipping until it gained traction.
