Use some PAM vegetable spray or something similar under the rim. Try to keep it lubricated in between uses (like, spray in with PAM before you store it, or right before you use it again)
You need to lock the blades from turning and undo the bottom clutch drive in such a way as you do not damage it. I use an old motor clutch drive to undo them myself. It has a left hand thread and a block of wood to hold the blade. Then you can remove the blade with shaft from the brass bush to clean and lubricate it. If the brass bush has moved up in the plastic housing you need to press/bang it down again. Then reassemble. If you wreck the clutch drive on the blade you will need to buy a new blade assy if it is separate to the beaker, if not you will need a beaker and blade unit complete.
