I apologize, but I need more information about the specific model of the Eclipse propane floor buffer to locate the manual and provide troubleshooting steps. Can you please provide the model number or any additional details about the buffer?
The switch has gone bad. Very common on these. The contacts in the switch wear out and then get welded together. The motor draws a lot of power when first started and this is ******* the switch.
The owner's manuals for the Electrolux (now Aerus) B-8, B-9 (Floor Pro and similar models), and the TriStar ProStar shampooer (same machine as the Floor Pro) have just been uploaded.
There are basically two models, but both are similar in waxing floors. I've just uploaded the manuals for each.
The instructions for the Floor Pro can be found on page 12 of the manual. The B-8, or 2101, is the same.
Basically:
Clean the floor.
Prepare a spray bottle of wax solution.
Spray an area in front of you, and back away while "swinging" the shampooer from side to side. Repeat.until finished.
